Lycian Highlands Discovery

Departing at 09:00, we journey northwards into the heart of the Lycian Highlands — a captivating region known not only for its ancient wonders and dramatic mountain scenery, but also as one of the most breathtaking segments of the Lycian Way, Türkiye’s renowned long-distance trekking route.

Our first stop is Sidyma, a remarkable ancient city where the modern village is nestled among ruins. As you explore, you’ll find Lycian tombs, Roman baths, and temple remains hidden amongst olive groves and stone cottages — a peaceful and rarely visited archaeological treasure. After a leisurely walk through the site, we’ll enjoy a traditional homemade lunch in a local villager’s house — a truly authentic experience of rural hospitality and flavours.

After lunch, we’ll head to a luxury boutique hotel with a unique highland view, where you can relax on the terrace and enjoy a refreshing drink. Surrounded by dramatic peaks and sweeping valleys, it’s the perfect place to pause and appreciate the natural beauty of the region.

We then travel to the dramatic Flat Rock, a wide, smooth stone ledge hanging above a sheer drop. For the adventurous, it’s an unforgettable photo opportunity — lie down on the edge (safely!) and gaze into the abyss below while capturing a one-of-a-kind shot.

From there, we make our way to a viewpoint over Paradise Bay, where the vibrant turquoise waters of the Mediterranean meet forested cliffs and hidden coves. This idyllic spot is a favourite for photographers and dreamers alike.

Next, we stop at a panoramic terrace overlooking Butterfly Valley, a breathtaking gorge carved into the cliffs, leading down to the sea. The view here, especially in the soft afternoon light, is utterly magical.

To complete the day, we head down to the coast for a relaxing swim at Ölüdeniz, one of Türkiye’s most famous beaches, renowned for its crystal-clear lagoon and golden sands. Whether you fancy a refreshing dip or simply want to float and unwind, it’s the perfect finale to a day filled with history, nature, and unforgettable views.
